Literature Text

You had just gotten home from school, which had thankfully gone well that day, and you pulled out your notebook that you used to write down what you had to do for homework. Thankfully, all you had to do was an English assignment and you turned on your computer, smiling to yourself.

Your teacher had said at the beginning of the school year that there would be two English assignments due during the year and one of them you turned in a few months ago on the due date and now you had another one to turn in. You had decided to pick two ideas for your English papers and do one then and one after. Now, you pulled up your almost finished English paper that you had been working on for a few months now on your computer. You just had half a page left to write and then of course the Bibliography, which wouldn’t take long.

You sat down and picked up where you left off, listening for when the three brothers you were staying with came home. Papyrus had told you that he was doing extra training that day and Sans was on patrol, but no doubt taking a nap, a thought that made you smile. Gaster was out teaching a science class and would be home later.

“And, done,” you said to yourself with a huge grin as you completed the paper and started on the Bibliography, which took about ten minutes and you had just saved it, printed it out, and put the finished paper in your homework folder to keep it safe for the next day when you heard the front door open and keys jingled. “Gaster,” you said to yourself happily. Because the oldest brother of the skeletons was mute, he would jingle his keys when he got home as not only a sign to say he was home, but also as a greeting. You now ran downstairs, which made Gaster turn towards you just in time to receive a glomp from you. Thankfully, with his tall height, he had good balance and caught you without stumbling backwards. “Hey, Gaster,” you said with a smile.

He smiled back at you, ruffling your hair in affection. “How did work go?” You asked him.

“A bit hectic, but other than that, it went well,” he signed to you. “And how did school go for you?”

“It was a good day for a change,” you said. “And I just finished my English paper too, since I got started on it a few months back. So, I have no homework and the day after tomorrow is the last day of school.”

Gaster ruffled your hair teasingly this time along with playfully poking your sides, making you giggle before you felt playful and poked his underarms.

He reacted quite unusually to that and you saw him hold his arm flat to his side to protect it, which told you that you had just found a tickle spot, which surprised you. You had no idea the older skeleton was ticklish, but your playfulness right then had you turning to face Gaster and hugging him so that he didn’t suspect you were up to something. “Love you, big bro,” you said happily.

Gaster formed the ‘I love you’ sign in his right hand for you to see and then kissed your forehead affectionately before jumping when he felt you begin tickling his underarms.

“Got you, Gaster!” You said with a huge grin as his knees literally buckled and he collapsed on the couch with you pouncing on him and still tickling his underarms. The tall skeleton shook with silent laughter as his eyes were squeezed tightly shut and his mouth fixed in a huge smile.

You laughed too. “I got you!” You said teasingly as Gaster squirmed like crazy to try and get away from you, but you were sitting on the couch too, pinning him in place and still tickling him.

You then saw he was reaching for your sides and you grinned. “No way, Gaster!” You said, your grin growing as you grabbed his hands and wrestled him to the floor, which to your surprise, he let you. After a moment, you quickly pinned his arms over his head by leaning on them so that he couldn’t move them and you went right back to tickling his underarms.

Gaster jumped hard and renewed his squirming as he kept silently laughing and judging by how his struggling was becoming even more desperate, you had found his tickle spot. “You have sensitive underarms, hmm?” You asked teasingly as you didn’t let up on tickling him, but you noticed how he wasn’t struggling so much now and tears were building in his eyes and you paused in tickling him.

“You okay, Gaster?” You asked in concern. He weakly nodded and you noticed he was gasping for air. You quickly leaned over him. “Gaster?” You asked worriedly.

He looked at you and gave you a smile. “I’m okay, kiddo,” he signed to you. “You got me good. Only Sans knows my underarms are my tickle spot.”

“Really?” You asked in surprise and he nodded and then you felt a bit guilty. “Sorry about tickling you too much.”

“It’s alright,” he signed and gave your stomach a tickle, making you giggle a bit before he reached up and very gently pinched the right side of your face. Whenever you apologized to him, he would do that as a sign that he forgave you. You then helped him up.

“Hey, Gaster, where are Sans’ and Papyrus’ most ticklish spots?” You asked curiously.

Silently chuckling, he looked at you. “Sans’ tickle spot is his ribs and Papyrus can’t stand someone tickling his spine,” he signed to you. “Would you like me to help you? They squirm even worse than me when tickled.”

That made you giggle. “Would you, please?” You asked him, looking at him with big, hopeful eyes. He smiled and nodded, accepting a hug from you as you both heard the door open again.

“Well, no-bony came by while I was on patrol,” came Sans’ voice.

“That’s because you nodded off again,” you said with a grin.

“Because you’re ‘bone-tired’,” Gaster signed to his younger brother.

“Well, patrol isn’t easy,” Sans said in mock defense. “Plus it makes me bored out of my skull.”

You gave Gaster a look and he looked at you, seeing you indicate towards Sans with your eyes and your fingers wiggled a bit. Catching on your train of thought, he nodded and winked at you.

Sans noticed the silent communication, but let it slide as he plopped down on the couch and closed his eyes, yelping a moment later when Gaster suddenly grabbed him and pulled him into his lap, holding the shorter skeleton’s arms up with one arm before unzipping his brother’s hoodie to reveal the white shirt underneath. Sans got a sinking feeling and he saw you grin hugely.

“Kiddo, what’s going on?” He asked.

“Oh, nothing,” you said, your grin growing as you went up to him and lifted up the white shirt to reveal his rib cage and looked up at Gaster, who smiled and nodded to silently tell you that he had a good hold on Sans, who was struggling a bit before you began tickling his ribs.

The squeal that came out of Sans when you did that made you jump with a start before you grinned and went back to tickling his ribs.

“NOHOHOHOHO! KID! NOT THE RIHIHIHIHIHIHIHIHIHIHIHIHIBS! NOT THE RIHIHIHIHIHIHIHIHIHIHIHIHIHIHIHIHIHIHIHIHIHIBS! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!” Sans was screaming in laughter as you tickled his ribs all over and Gaster wasn’t helping matter by blowing raspberries into the smaller skeleton’s neck.

You then grinned as you paused the tickle attack a moment. “Bet you hate feathers, right, Sans?” You asked.

Sans gave you a fearful look and Gaster handed you a fluffy feather duster and gestured to the inside of Sans’ rib cage. “Inside his rib cage?” You asked with a grin.

Gaster nodded and Sans’ look of horror was so comical you couldn’t help grinning hugely. “Cootchie, cootchie, coo!” You said as you slipped the feather duster inside the desperately-squirming skeleton’s rib cage and began swirling the feather duster around gently.

Sans let out the loudest scream you had ever heard from him. “NO! PLEHEEHEEHEEHEEHEEASE! NOT THAHAHAHAHAHAHAT! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!” He pleaded with you, but you just smiled.

Gaster was smiling too as he resumed blowing raspberries into Sans’ neck before you both noticed that the smaller skeleton’s face was a bright shade of blue. This made both you and Gaster stop tickling Sans, who looked like he might have passed out if you had continued a minute longer. He suddenly gave a stifled giggle.

“Um, kiddo, could you…?” Sans asked, but then stopped, but you knew what he was going to ask.

“Okay, but it’s really going to tickle,” you said seriously as you knew he wanted you to remove the feather duster from inside his rib cage. He nodded and you did your best to pull it out carefully so that you wouldn’t hurt Sans and so that you wouldn’t tickle him too bad, but he still burst into a fit of giggles until you finally removed the feather duster, making him collapse against Gaster, who held him securely as you gently and kindly pulled Sans’ white shirt back down over his ribs, to which he gave you a grateful look.

“Man, you can give a good tickle torture just like Pap can,” he said seriously.

“He’s next,” you said with a grin before sitting next to Gaster and snuggling into his side. He held both you and Sans in his lap as he leaned back against the couch. You wrapped one arm around Sans in a hug and he returned the hug.

“What made you guys start tickling me?” He asked.

“Well, I finished my homework and Gaster came in and I found out by accident that his underarms are ticklish, which led to me tickling him and he told me where you and Papyrus are most ticklish,” you said honestly.

Sans smiled. “You know, I need to get Pap back for tickling me the other day,” he said. “Mind if I help you two with tickling him?”

You and Gaster answered Sans with matching grins just as the door opened again and Papyrus walked in, looking like he had just won a gold medal. “What’s up, bro?” You asked him.

He grinned. “Would you believe I finally bested Undyne today?” He asked.

“No way! Really?!” You asked. You had heard Undyne was a good trainer, but very tough on her trainees too. “How did you best her today?”

He grinned. “I used that maneuver you showed me the other day,” he said.

“The cobra lock?” You asked. You had been working on maneuvers like that in case someone tried to bother you.

Papyrus nodded. “She never saw it coming,” he said. “She asked me where I had learned that, but I wouldn’t tell her.”

You grinned. “Great job, Papyrus!” You said, giving him a hug as Gaster and Sans came over.

“How about a ticklish reward, bro?” Sans asked.

Before the youngest skeleton of the three brothers could process that, he was pinned to the floor by his older brothers while you sat beside him with a huge grin on your face.

“His spine, right?” You asked Gaster, who nodded.

“You start first,” he signed to you. “Sans and I will join in after a moment.”

“Okay,” you said and looked at Papyrus, who was giving you a pleading look, but you just smiled and began tickling his spine.

You quickly decided that between Sans and Papyrus, the younger skeleton had the loudest squeal, which grew louder when Gaster blew raspberries into his youngest brother’s neck and Sans began tickling Papyrus’ feet after removing his boots.

“AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!” Papyrus couldn’t even beg you three to stop as his laughter made that impossible and you began laughing too, hearing Sans laugh too and seeing Gaster silently laugh as well.

“You’re at our mercy, Papyrus,” you said teasingly.

“And he can’t stop rattling his bones,” said Sans with a huge grin.

Papyrus laughed harder at the teasing words and as the three of you increased the tickle torture mercilessly.

It was probably not long after that Gaster stopped blowing raspberries into Papyrus’ neck and noticed how his youngest brother was just slightly twitching now. You also noticed and stopped ticking Papyrus’ spine and motioned to Sans, who nodded and stopped his tickle attack on his younger brother’s feet.

Papyrus got his breath back and was suddenly surprised when you snuggled into his side and gave him a sisterly kiss on the cheek. He smiled at you and cuddled you and gave you a brotherly kiss on the forehead as Gaster picked both you and Papyrus up and sat on the couch, motioning for Sans to come over too.

The older skeleton soon had all three of you in his lap and he put on the television to find a movie while you hugged Papyrus again and then hugged Sans, who both returned your hugs. “Love you guys,” you said.

“We love you too, kiddo,” said Sans.

“We wouldn’t trade you for anything,” said Papyrus and Gaster nodded in agreement with his brothers.

“And I wouldn’t trade you three for anything,” you said firmly. “You guys are the best older brothers in the whole universe.”

“And you’re the best little sister in the whole universe to us,” Gaster signed, making his younger brothers nod as the movie on the television started playing and you four settled down to watch it.

It was a great ending to a great day.
